Task 1: Examine the JCF Classes (0%)
Read and familiarize yourself with the JCF classes. You may use these classes if you wish (or you are welcome to reuse your previous project code, or “roll your own” versions of these classes). Below is an overview of the most likely classes to be helpful in this assignment:
1. ArrayList and LinkedList – Java’s list classes supported by a dynamic array or a linked structure respectively
2. ArrayDeque – Java’s double ended queue supported by an array, LinkedList is Java’s double ended queue supported by a linked list
3. PriorityQueue – Java’s priority queue (supported by a heap)
4. HashMap and HashSet – Java’s map and set supported by a hash table
5. TreeMap and TreeSet – Java’s map and set supported by a red-black tree
6. Collection – All JCF classes implement this generic interface.
Where should you start? The Java Tutorials of course! (If you didn’t know, Oracle’s official Java documentation includes a set of tutorials.) The Trail: Collections tutorial will provide you with more than enough information on how to use these classes.Task 2: Read the Provided Code Base (0%)
Read and familiarize yourself with the code. This will save you a lot of time later. An overview of the provided code is given below, but you need to read the code base yourself.

INTRODUCTION The purpose of my assessment is critically analyse my personal experience as mentor in performing skill assessment .I am a staff nurse working at a regional burns centre. During my learning period had an opportunity to mentor a newly joined healthcare assistant. She has very less nursing background, who was planning to join her nursing course in next year. According to NMC (2008) while assessing learners the mentor should have the following qualities to Establishing effective working relationships, Facilitation of learning, Assessment and accountability, Evaluation of learning, Creating an environment for learning, Context of practice, Evidence-based practice, Leadership. After reviewing the assessment it was highlighted about few areas of successful and difficult aspects. I used Gibbs reflective model as a format to evaluate my assessment skill in first part of my assessment.in second part of assignment will be analysed in detail about constructive feedback. ASSESSMENT. First part of essay (APPROX-1000 WORDS) in the main point would like to discuss During my formative assessment discussed with learning needs. Student prefer to learn about blood glucose monitoring. The aim of assessment was to assess the learner’s performance and competence demonstrating correct procedure of blood glucose monitoring also aware about normal values and how to report any abnormalities. Summative assessment was divided into two sections theory and practical in teaching section I provided handouts and also provide opportunity to ask questions. Practical section I had worked with my student few times she had opertuniy to observe and practise under direct supervision. After practical session assessed her with questionnaire and performance check list. 1; about successful aspects of assessing -Learning environment- Establishing effective relationship-I arranged an initial meeting with my student. I was given detailed orientation of the unit and provided her with an induction pack and access to unit policies. -support from facilitator and clinical educator. Performing an assessment for the first time to be challenging, Discussed about my concern and anxiety with my practise facilitator, they supported and guided Time management -busy unit to provide enough time to students. -I worked with learner few times allowed the learner to observe and practise skill under direct supervision and its help to gain confident in my student, also help me to understand the learning style of my student and help her. 2; Difficult aspects of assessing Time management -busy unit to provide enough time to students. Mentor barriers includes -personal issues example home commitment, lack of confidence and experience as a new mentor Learners barriors-new practise setting and working environment there family issues and mentor in convenient time. Initial arrangement of my skill assessment needs to cancel due to my facilitator was sick.so I had arranged another day to suitable for everyone. 3;What would consider differently next time to be more confident in feed back. – Difficulty in providing feedback?

Write a paper in which you engage in a thorough interpretation of a theme, idea or key social…
Write a paper in which you engage in a thorough interpretation of a theme, idea or key social issue as presented by one of the texts read in our course. Or you may choose to compare how two texts by the same author treat the same theme/issue.
Here are few possible examples of themes/issues you could investigate:
Compare attitudes about spirituality in the works of Flannery O’Connor and another writer of American Literature since 1900 (this other writer does not have to be one of those covered within our course).
Compare attitudes about the role of race in individual identity as discussed in the works of two writers we’ve read (such as Hughes, Cullen, Baldwin, etc).
Compare how sexuality influences identity/self-perception in at least 2 works that we’ve read (Baldwin, Ginsberg, possibly Cather, etc).
Interpret attitudes about sexuality, human nature, or relationship to the Divine in the works of Allen Ginsberg and/or another Beat poet.
Compare authorial methods for making explicit social commentary via at least 2 short stories by different authors we’ve read.
Interpret attitudes about death, mortality, and/or relationship to the Divine in at least 2 texts by an author we’ve read.
Interpret attitudes about religion and/or death in the works of Robert Frost.
Compare the poetic styles and major themes of 2 poets we’ve read whose styles/ideas can be seen as connected.
Compare the portrayal of war’s effects in at least 2 works by authors we’ve read.
Interpret The Zoo Story as intending to portray a specific social critique. You may connect/compare this to another text if so desired.
Develop an interpretation of Beloved as making a modern-day critique about the effects of historical trauma
Compare the ideas about family in at least 2 works by authors we’ve read.
Compare the discussion of “the minority experience” in at least 2 texts that we’ve read.
Compare how social identity affects self-perception in at least 2 texts we’ve read.
Compare views on human nature in at least 2 works by authors we’ve read.
You may choose to create your own thematic focus, but to do so you MUST submit your intended topic by the date indicated receive my approval of your topic.
In this paper, you must use at least 3 secondary research sources (beyond the literary text you’re analyzing) to help build the case for your interpretation. Your research sources need to be useful, intelligent sources that fully meet the requirements of “legitimate academic sources.” In addition to this, of course, you must engage in significant close textual analysis of your chosen text.
The key to this assignment is developing an original thesis statement regarding your interpretation of a text. Then use your own textual analysis as well as research (i.e. literary criticism) to investigate & ultimately “prove” your thesis.
Key Requirements:
The text of the essay itself must be at least 5 pages in length, double spaced, using a standard font size (Times New Roman 12), and 1 inch margins.
In addition to the minimum of 5 pages, a title page and a Works Cited page should be included.
The Interpretation Paper should be cited via MLA format, including in-text citations and a Works Cited Page (not included in the 5 page minimum). You will not earn a passing grade on this paper if your paper does not include research cited in MLA format.
Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, phrasing, paragraph structure, and essay structure are expected and weigh enormously in the grading of your paper. In other words, if your paper is not well-written, you should not expect a passing grade.
If ANY part of your paper is plagiarized, you will automatically fail the course. PLEASE do not make this mistake. There are no second chances or “do-overs” with this issue.
If you don’t earn a passing grade (60% or above) on this paper, you can’t earn a grade higher than a “D” in our course.
For more information on how to write a proper paper that uses research, please review the lessons on essay structure, thesis statements, use of research, incorporation of quotes, legitimacy of online sources, use of academic databases, and MLA format available on our course website.
The Writing Process:
For this paper, the writing process consists of 3 key steps:
1) You must submit a Paper Topic Paragraph in the “Assignments” section of the course by the date indicated in the syllabus. This simply consists of a paragraph in which you explain your intended focus for your paper. Your instructor will provide feedback on your proposed topic. This paragraph is not intended to be a part of your actual paper; it’s simply a paragraph explaining your intended topic so that your instructor can provide useful feedback.
2) You are encouraged to submit the Optional 1st Draft in the “Assignments” section of the courseby the date indicated in the syllabus. For this to be useful, it is necessary that you include research that is properly cited. Without such inclusion, it will be difficult for your instructor to provide meaningful feedback. -

EdDraycutt is the engineering manager of Airway Technologies, a firm that makes computer systems…
Assignment: This is your final assignment and will become part of your CUC MBAePortfolio.
In this assignment you will complete a paper on the following situation:
EdDraycutt is the engineering manager of Airway Technologies, a firm that makes computer systems for air traffic control installations at airports. He has proposed a new device the success of which depends on two separate events. First the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) must adopt a recent proposal for a new procedural approach to handling in flight calls from planes experiencing emergencies.
Everyone thinks the probability of the FAA accepting the new method is at least 98%, but it will take a year to happen. If the new approach is adopted, radio makers will have to respond within another year with one of two possible changes in their technology. These can simply be called A and B. The Aresponse is far more likely, also having a probability of about 98%. Ed’s device works with the A system and is a stroke of engineering genius. If the A system becomes the industry standard and Airway has Ed’s product, it will make a fortune before anyone else can market a similar device.
On the other hand if the A system isn’t adopted, Airway will lose whatever it’s put into the new device’s development.
Developing Ed’s device will cost about $20 million, which is a very substantial investment for a small company like Airway. In fact, a loss of $20 million would put the firm in danger of failing. ?
Ed just presented his idea to the executive committee as a capital budgeting project with a $20 million investment and a huge NPV and IRR reflecting the adoption of the A system.
Everyone on the committee is very excited. You’re the CFO and are a lot less excited. You asked Ed how he reflected the admittedly remote possibility that the A system would never be put in place. Ed, obviously proud of his business sophistication, said he’d taken care of that with a statistical calculation.
He said adoption of the A system required the occurrence of two events each of which has a 98% probability. The probability of both happening is (.98x.98=.96) 96%. He therefore reduced all of his cash inflow estimates by 4%. He maintains this correctly accounts for risk in the project.
In this assignment you will:
?
1.Evaluate Ed’s analysis.Does Ed have the right expected NPV? What’s wrong with his analysis? 2.Suggest an approach that will give a more insightful result. 3.Discusswhy the firmmightconsider passing on the proposal in spite of the tremendous NPV and IRR Ed has calculated?4.EvaluativeifEd’s case be might be helped by a real option. If so, what kind? How would it help?
You have two options for how you may present your Signature Project, including the following:
•A written essay (8-10 pages-not including the CUC cover, title, or reference pages)•PowerPoint or Prezi presentation (20 slides-not including the reference slide) (clickhere for help in creating a PowerPoint presentation, andPrezi for creating a Prezi.)
All presentations must be submitted via Word document. For all presentations that are not in an essay format, insert your presentation slides into a Word document or paste the link to your online presentation into a Word document and submit that document as your assignment. Notes in the form of a professional-quality handout must accompany all presentations other than essay format. The handout should contain what you would say if you were presenting to a board of directors or senior leadership of an organization.
Your well-written and well-developed submission should meet the following requirements, regardless of the presentation format you choose:
•Include the CUC cover page, introduction, a conclusion, and a references page.•Use a minimum of8 credible sources that are cited within the essay or presentation.•Include proper citation of any graphs or figures that you do not create yourself.
Be formatted according to the6th edition APA form and style. If using the essay format, please use the provided writing template. -

Dan is a registered nursing student, day 5 of his first-year placement at MyLocalHospital in
Smithplace; his preceptor for today’s morning shift is Registered Nurse Jane.
During an unusually slow morning medication round, Dan noted RN Jane putting in her
pocket paracetamol (Panadol) from the medicine room. RN Jane stated she really needs it as
she only got home at 0330 this morning from a big night out, had a “…shocking hangover
and could barely think”; she said she would be better after morning tea.
RN Jane did appear unwell and Dan had to keep reminding her of each patient and even
pointed out medication discrepancies of those within his scope. Dan was concerned but the
morning got busy with beds to be made before morning tea break.
After lunch RN Jane directed Dan to help her with a complex vacuum dressing on the
buttock of Fred in Bed 11, a blind elderly patient. The wound was odorous and looked
complicated. RN Jane, already ‘unwell’ as disclosed this morning, left the room briefly for
“more supplies”. Dan chatted to the patient and discretely took a couple of photo’s of the
wound as he was intrigued by it and wanted to show his friends (some of which were
nursing students too).
The following screenshot of a Facebook post from Dan, was sent to the lecturer from a
fellow student later that evening.
