Clergyman Mather Byles, not Benjamin Martin, famously said “Which is better: to be ruled by one tyrant three thousand miles away or by three thousand tyrants one mile away?” in reference to avoiding the chance of going to war with the seemingly unbeatable British. Had you been present during these debates and part of any colony, what side would you choose, and why?

ENG 102 Paper Assignment 2
I have chosen compassion as a topic. The book that I will be using for this assignment is “The Man of Feeling by Henry Mackenzie.”It should be done in 5 pages. Unlike last time, there is a research requirement with this paper. Be sure to link the evidence and claims explicitly in the essay, have an arguable thesis statement at the end of the introductory paragraph, and use transitions and topic and concluding sentences. The three outside sources could be used to situate your work of literature within the tradition of what other scholars have said. The free sources could also provide relevant biographical information about your author or the time period in which the work of literature was written .
The rule of thumb for analytical papers is two quotations per body paragraph, and paragraphs that are 3/4 of a page long. Essays should be in 12-point, double-spaced, Times New Roman font. Please keep plot summary to a minimum (less than 20% of the paper). You should use at least three sources in addition to your text book, and they should be cited in the proper MLA format.

You will have a solid answer to this question once you complete this assignment. Until then, start with the basics. Virtually all business activities conducted in the United States are regulated, not only by governmental entities, but by professional entities as well. Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances is a prerequisite to the long term health and survival of any business. And compliance with industry and professional practice standards can be equally important, especially when mandated for accreditation and government contracts qualification.
Certain industries are more regulated than others. Some highly regulated industries include health care, financial services, accounting, oil and gas, and public utilities. When a business fails to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards, the business and the individuals who manage it often face a variety of sanctions. Sanctions can range from the loss of an operating license and/or program certification, to civil and criminal sanctions including monetary penalties and fines (corporate and person), to prison sentences.
