One support that can be integrated into a learning center classroom to help students with exceptionalities is the use of a visual schedule. This support can be interactive where the student will move a star person or picture of themselves through the schedule as they complete each task. This also will allow students to complete these tasks independently without confusion or overwhelming of choices. This support can promote literacy skills through experience with print and using picture cues to identify meaning of text. Another support to first-then strips. These allow students to know what needs completed first then what will come next, usually a reward. For example, “First (circle time) picture, then, (art) picture.” This relieves any anxiety a student may have with transitions and allow students to focus. It also supports literacy through print experience and the sentence form the strips are written in. comment as you see fit. min 40 words or more

Watch the movie Mrs. Doubtfire, which is widely available on many streaming apps, as well as the various other channels (HBO, Movie Channel, etc). Then, write an essay addressing the following:
Discuss as many topics as you can spot in this movie that we have addressed in this course (e.g., an obvious one, divorce). There are several topics covered in this movie, even subtle ones, that can and should be addressed. In discussing these topics, I want to see a comprehensive discussion about the topic in general, including definitions where applicable. You can, and I encourage you, to compare what happened in that movie to what you learned in this course. You could include statistics (e.g.,what percent of couples divorce in your particular state, or the US, over a period of time; or the percentage of mothers who pay support to fathers), compare states, discuss types of divorce, etc. Be creative, but make sure you issue/topic spot. I would say at a minimum there are 4 topics that must be discussed. Also, think about how things might be different today if they Doubtfire’s got divorced now instead of in 1993. Would the result be different? While this movie is a comedy, there are serious undertones here.
Your paper should be at least 750 words (but likely more), double spaced, times new roman, 12 pt font. Please make sure it is professionally written. You have 2 weeks to write it so it should be very well written and comprehensive. DO NOT FORGET CITATIONS TO YOUR TEXTBOOK AND ANY OTHER SOURCES YOU UTILIZE.
