According to guad council, 1999, public health nursing is described as the promotion of health focused practices that emphasizes the promotion of health, the prevention of disease and disability, and the creation of condition in which all people can be healthy.
Kafue is a district in the Lusaka province, in recent years the district has recorded an increase in number of morbidity and mortalities due to non – communicable disease(NCDs) among young adult. Most noted NCDs included obersity, hypertension, diabetes and cancers.As newly recruited nurse at kafue district health hospital, tasked to help address the problem of NCDs use the four public health components and come up with strategies or activities.
