As typical examples, your engineering professional practice development of the generic graduate e-Portfolio is linked from the very first ENG5100 (Professional Skills in Engineering), to ENG3902 (Professional Practice 1), to ENG4903 (Professional Practice 2) to your final ENG4909 (Work Experience – Professional). In each discipline major, there are also technical courses that contribute to your professional development. In a similar way, your engineering technical competence is also linked from ENG1002 through your core and elective courses (noting re-requisite connections) to your ENG8001 (Research Methodology) to your capstone ENG8411/12 Research Project 1 & 2.
Your e-Portfolio is a reflective writing recording of how these two related by different development processes were undertaken in your personal journey from your engineering program entry to your graduation. Your reflective snippet writings are personal, and can be also about inability to achieve desired grades, successes and discovery, what was enjoyable, challenging or difficult. However your final eight (8) reflective narratives you will develop in ENG3902 / ENG4903 and ENG4909, are specific summative reflections of how you believe you have demonstrated you have the abilities and skills (technical and professional) of the USQ engineering graduate capabilities and element (of competence), including assessment artefacts that you believe witness these competencies. This latter reflective narrative style is to prepare you for your professional career accreditation after graduation.
