2. Briefly outline the situation, then identify and define the ethical issue. Outline the reasons you believe this is an ethical issue. • Information re company/organisation. Factors leading up to or contributing to the issue, and the ethical issue itself • Need to develop an argument for your position. Evidence from the case study, reasoning from topics covered so far. This is about building a strong, supported position. 3. State your ethical belief/position on this ethical issue. • This will come in part from your earlier reasoning, but also somewhat from our own values and experiences. • Be objective if possible, and consider counterarguments to your reasoning – you can always then rebut the counterargument. 4. Present an argument for your belief/position using the arguments for the broad or narrow view definition of CSR and supporting arguments/counterarguments. • In this section you need to demonstrate knowledge of the broad and narrow view (definition, arguments), and connect this to your ethical issue/case study. 5. Evaluate your position using either Kant or ethics of care (JEERS). • Outline your theory – key ideas/assumptions, how does the theory decide whether an action is ethical or not? • Apply the theory – use the right format for each – this matters.
