How is beauty constructed in our society? What do the images we hold up as “beautiful” say about systems of privilege and inequality (Take into consideration ethnicity, physical ability, age, class, etc)?
•Beauty construction should be empowering to all – What affect would it have on society if beauty ideals were broadened? Are Body Image and Beauty Ideal issues a relevant issue to pursue within the contemporary women’s movement? Explain why or why not.
