One of the themes that we do in our classroom is community helpers. We are a preschool inclusion class with 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s. During the community helpers theme we put out costumes of police men, doctors, nurses, and firemen in our dramatic play center. We have the community helper pictures all around the room with the words and the magnetic letters to help them to recognize them. This is just one of our themes. We also do space, nature, Louisiana (that’s where we are), and weather, just to name a few more. We always try our best to adjust our centers with different activities to keep them interested in each theme.
