In my opinion two types of discouraged target behaviors I feel that are most common in the classroom are talking out of turn and getting out of their seat without permission. When a child talks out of turn it can be a disruption to the whole class because they are interrupting teacher instruction, and this can cause the class to go off topic and encourage other students to do the same. In addition when a child gets out of their seat it can also cause interruption to teacher instruction and the class as well changing the focus from the teacher to them. Possibly leading to other students getting out of their seat as well. I feel that these behaviors are common because students may be seeking attention or they need the opportunity to talk and move often and it may not be included in their daily schedule in the classroom. I also believe that given the opportunity with scheduled times a majority of these outbursts and unwanted movement can be alleviated with addition of verbal praise throughout the day. Does anyone agree or disagree with my views on the topic? min 40 words or more
