Lessons 8-10 focus on the book The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History. Before you start reading the book, please explain your current beliefs about/understanding of biodiversity.
Please note that there is no “wrong” or “right” opinion to have – it is merely an opinion
. But I want you to take a moment to reflect on how you feel, and where that opinion comes from. Post the following three things for full credit. You will use these assertions after reading the book as well, so please think carefully about them.
Please do not perform any additional research prior to posting: the purpose is for you to clearly indicate your thoughts right now
    :
Briefly describe your understanding of the relationship between anthropogenic climate change and biodiversity.
Briefly describe your understanding of the severity of the impact of human society on biodiversity.
Briefly describe how urgent you believe it is that we address biodiversity loss on a global scale.
    For
    each
of these beliefs, briefly post the following:
Identify why you think the way you do. How did you come to believe it?
How thoroughly have you investigated your beliefs? E.g., is it something you learned or heard a while ago, and have not investigated it since?
For each belief, indicate how strong your belief is (how confident you are in your position): very weak, weak, somewhat weak, neither weak nor strong, somewhat strong, strong, very strong.
Please make sure that your post is organized. I strongly suggest using numbers to identify each of your three beliefs.
After you post this in your journal, submit a direct link to your post here. Please make this a hyperlink so I can just click on it to open up your entry. On your journal post itself, make sure you put the lesson number and a descriptive title in the post’s title.

    4. A flight has 100 seats and a passenger fare of $130. The number of no-shows is independent of total bookings and is given by a normal distribution with mean of 22 and standard deviation of 15. The denied-boarding cost is $260 per denied boarding. Use a table of cumulative normal distribution values or the NORMINV function of Excel to determine the optimal booking limit in this case. Recall that the booking limit needs to be an integer.

It was on Friday, September 27, at 1:30pm. The mosque’s name is “Make Space”, found in Franconia Rd, Alexandria, VA.
Religion is one of the main parts of human life. Morality comes from our religion; it does not mean it is for everyone because there are so many people who do not believe in the existence of God but have a moral. However, religion plays an important rule on morality. I grew up into a family who follow Ethiopian orthodox Christianity and I am still Ethiopian orthodox Christian. I would like to talk about my religion background a little. As I wrote in my introduction form Ethiopian Orthodox Church has many different beliefs than the other orthodox churches, like as our church does not use modern musical instruments for worship and prayer, we only use our traditional instruments that were invented by the legendary Ethiopian Musician Saint Yared. In addition, we belief in The Ten Commandments which is God gives to Moses is still exist in one of the Ethiopian orthodox church, but there is no access to see the Arc rather than the Pops and even no one knows where exactly it is because they keep it a secret to protect it. For my project paper I choose to attend Islamic religion because I lived with a society which have a large population of Muslim people and now most of my coworkers are Muslim too, so it makes it a lot easier to get an access to attend the event even though I have never been in a mosque. I attend the event with my boss before we got there, he told me to calm down because he noticed that I was a little stressed to go in different religious place. First, I was preparing to maintain my clothing to suit their religious rules. I wore a long dress and a scarf which covers my hair completely. One of the ritual processes that impressed me is that he washed his face, arm and face before the prayer and he even told me not to make any contact with him if I do, he would wash all over again. This process of preparation called “Wudhu”. I was wondering why they must do this process, so I ask him about it, and he explained to me with examples. As he told me the reason why they washed up and having no contact with opposite sex. One is that their body

Briefly describe (apprx. 250 words) a moment of misunderstanding in which your world either “shifted” or a norm, assumption, standard, etc. was made known through misunderstanding.• The idea here is to think about how moments of communicative breakdown bring to light the taken-for-granted ways through which we operate in our day-to-day lives.
