If I start to feel bad, worthless, inadequate, or one of
these shame-based feelings, what is most likely to have triggered this reaction…(e.g.,
when my partner is not meeting my needs, when I feel vulnerable or criticized,
etc.)? When this shame-based feeling is evoked in me, my initial response is to
(e.g., withdraw, eat, drink, become pleasing, lose my temper, etc.)?

Having a print rich environment is helpful to all ages. At the preschool age, having a library center filled with books is important. The students learn that the pictures do not tell the story the words do. Labeling as many objects as you can is also important. It will help the students get familiar with naming objects and seeing what the name looks like. Doing this will give the students a good foundation to reading when they advance to the older grades. The older grades will put what they learned in the younger grades together and having a print rich environment will reenforce what they have already learned and make them more comfortable with what they are learning.
In our preschool classroom, we do our best to have a print rich environment by having everything labeled. Our centers have pictures of where everything goes with the name of that object also printed under the picture. This helps the students at tidy up time as they can match the picture to the object that goes there. We also have a section for our letter of the week. In this section, we have a picture of the letter of the week, sight words for that letter, pictures of things that start with that letter, how to do the letter in sign language and a device that will make the sound of the letter whenever the students put in a magnetic letter. Those are just a few of the ways that we try to have a print rich classroom.

There are several ways to differentiate instruction to accommodate English Language Learners. One way is to use visual aids. Visual presentations will help the English Language Learner to hear and see the material being presented and will help their brain make connections to help them learn.
Another way is to make sure that the material being presented is being offered to the learners in their native language and in English. With the material being presented both ways, it will give the student the confidence to do it in their language and the opportunity to do the assignment in English.
The use of assistive technology is important for English Language Learners. For example, using a translation app on their phone or iPad will allow the student to record the lecture that is given and have it translated into their language. It can also be used to translate their answers for the teacher if an interpreter is not available or the teacher does not speak the language.
I personally feel that the best way to help an English Language Learner is to have patience with them and always give them the opportunity to be a “regular student”. Do not be afraid to call on them in class to answer a question and always try to include them in the discussions. This will encourage the English Language Learners and the English-speaking students to find a way to communicate and work together. I feel that this will teach them not to shy away from each other.

Read a Novel: It’s Just What the Doctor Ordered
Sarah Begleyis talking about reading a book helps people to improve their ability such as empathy and affect with their mind. They combine their emotional bond with books, which are a fiction. I support that it improves people to feel empathy a book and people can affect their minds by characters when they read a book.
First of all, Sarah said that linking books with our empathy can improve our mental health. According to the BBC article, Claudia Hammond says that “We start to consider their goals and desires instead of our own” So, we identify with the fictional character.People mostly fall in a book story and support with fiction characters while reading stories, then they would think what stories will be continued or would wish the next fiction stories what they want.
Next, Sarah says that people can change our life by a book that we can find the right way. Therefore, novel stories can be matched with readers to find things to do in our lives. For instance, a book, which is “How to Change Your Mind” helps patients who addicted to LSD which is persuading them not using drugs, that the fiction stories used as a character as well as, made them affected
In conclusion, by reading a book people can make better emotions, mental health, and motivation. Such examples illustrate how people can be responded to by books like characters in
fiction. So, we should read a book in order to better life and understanding with our health social and mental.
