In the state of Texas, the rate of teenage pregnancies has subtly decreased over the span of the past 10 years. In 2011, 27% of teens under the age of 18 experienced a pregnancy. “Power to Decide” is an organization designated to helping educate teens on their ways to prevent pregnancy so that they can ensure their future is all about them. In the event the teenager is pregnant, there are other resources to help aid during their time of need. “Brightright” is available 24/7 for pregnant teens.
