The final cumulative project is based on developing your own scenario and researching a context for the situation or organization being investigated OR creating a solution for a current problem/organizational issue. You are encouraged to use a current problem or opportunity from your own work environment, if possible. If there is not a problem from a workplace, choose a topic you would like to engage with and learn more about.

Think piecesare short essays of no more than 400 – 500 words. Your think piece should have a distinct point of view. It should present this point of view clearly and consistently.
Your think piece must present this point of view clearly and consistently. It must deal in a clear and intelligent way with the course readings, class discussions and concepts.Tell me what you know. Start from what you know; Communicate your own insights through a discussion of the course’s readings. You can use examples, anecdotes and statistics to support your argument(s).
I cannot emphasize enough that inconsistent think pieces (essays with no clear organisation) fall short of my basic expectation. You will also lose points for copying or replicating responses from each other. You will lose all points if your assignment is plagiarised.Given that think pieces are short, they must be tight. Every word counts.I will penalise you if your essay is long and filled with empty verbiage.
Some of the factors that I use to evaluate a think piece include quality, depth, and complexity of the argument; the use of evidence to support the thesis; the clarity and elegance of the prose. Beyond such baseline expectations, I also judge a think piece by asking myself whether it is intellectually stimulating.
How would you perceive the role of education in inculcating civic virtues/values among citizens? You have to take on eitherPlato, Aristotle or Machiavelli to illustrate your arguments. -

This change event/topic can be an infectious disease (prevention and control), a non-communicable disease (prevention and control), occupational hazards, road traffic safety, maternal and infant health, sexual health, education. Please present evidence why the topic you chose is a problem and needs to be changed. • Critically discuss the need for the proposed change and your vision for future practice in the area selected. Include stakeholders, and overview of risks, how the selected issue was chosen and the benefits/strengths and challenges to the selected change. Please, present and discuss the changes you think need to be made and the risks, challenges, involved with these. Please, also report who might be involved in the process (all stakeholders). • Utilise tools to analyse the challenges and barriers to proposed change. You can support your work by using a risk assessment, prioritization strategies or analysis grids i.e. SWOT, PEST, force-field analysis • All work should be presented in essay style format and utilize the Harvard referencing system throughout. • Word count: 3000 words (+/- 10%)
