Rewrite the following very pompous statement, simplifying the text without detracting from the meaning:
“From what I have observed during my time at this establishment, there appears to be a common practice of employees utilising the world-wide web for the sole purpose of buying and selling personal property via an online auction system referred to as e-bay.”
From what I can tell, there appears to be a common practice of employees using the internet from the sole purpose of buying and selling personal property through a website called “e-bay”.

Understanding who your audience is helps you communicate with them effectively. In groups, discuss who the target audience might be if you were the marketing manager planning the launch of the new model Hybrid Toyota Camry. Then plan a launch campaign. Consider all avenues you might use to communicate with this audience.

Complete the Introduction (Chapter One) to your dissertation. Write a 10 to 15-page paper in APA format. Make sure to include the following headings;
Background- Here you will provide general information, including facts, historical data, and relevant context regarding your topic of research. In-text citations are required for critical information provided in this section;
Statement of the Problem- in this section you will define your main problem or the reason why you feel there is a need for your research. What will happen if your proposed research is never conducted? You will also need to identify whether this problem is mainly concerned with individuals or companies, or if there is a broader context, such as an entire industry or the society/economy in general. (Note: While you are stating your opinion as the problem that needs to be studied, you must avoid using statements in the first person in this section as well as the entire dissertation.)
Purpose of the Study- this section should help the reader clearly understand what your research intends to accomplish. The following information must be included in the purpose of the study; research design (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods), phenomena being studied, covered geography (if applicable), theoretical framework (with references to specific theories that will be used in structuring the study), and study variables (properly defined).
Research Questions- use this section to clearly define your research questions. Use level three headings in APA style to define your research questions. Avoid using double barrel or double negative statements in defining research questions. (Note: Quantitative or mixed research methods require specific hypotheses to accompany each research question. However, the research hypothesis will be defined in the methodology section).
Nature of the Study- in this section you will need to describe your research methodology and explain why is appropriate given the purpose of the study. In doing so, you will need to discuss how the study design allows you to accomplish your goals in conducting this research.
In addition, in this section you should provide important details regarding the study design, key variables or constructs involved and any considerations regarding their measurement. In particular, you will need to briefly define your proposed method of data collection, including surveys and instruments, and sampling considerations.
Significance of the Study- in this section, clarify whether your study is categorized as “basic” or “applied” research and how it contributes to the field of study. What are the expected benefits of having the answer to the research questions outlined above?
Definition of Terms- provide a conceptual or empirical definition of all variables that will be used in your study. Use level three headings in APA style to define each variable. (Note: in chapter three, the methodology section, you will need to define operational definitions for these variables, i.e., definitions that will be used to measure or calculate these variables. Here, however, you just need to provide a conceptual definition of these terms). -

Your client, Julian, applied to the Minister for Home Affairs on June 30 for access to copies of documents, emails or correspondence relating to the role of Australian Border Force officials and the Minister in permitting passengers to disembark from the Ruby Princess cruise ship in Sydney on March 19. Julian is a freelance journalist. His application was made under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982
(Cth) (FOI Act).
On July 30, in a brief letter, the Minister refused Julian’s request, on two grounds:
(1) the request would substantially and unreasonably interfere with the performance of the Minister’s functions, as per ss 24 and 24AA of the
Freedom of Information Act 1982
(Cth) (FOI Act), because it would take more than 1,000 hours to identify and locate the documents and decide whether to release them;
(2) the requested documents would contain, or relate to, deliberative processes of the Minister, as per s 47C(1) of the FOI Act and, if published they would inhibit officials from giving the Minister robust and frank advice.
In the letter, the Minister gave no further reasons for his decision. One week later, the Minister told the House of Representatives that he had rejected Julian’s request because he was a ‘troublemaker’ who was trying to undermine the government and endanger national security. -

Imagine a wedge-shaped object flying through air at supersonic speeds (see Fig. 1). In compressible flow theory (covered in MCEN90008 Fluid Dynamics), it is known that an oblique shock wave forms at the front tip of this object under certain conditions. The equation relating the wedge half-angle ? to the shock oblique angle ß and the Mach number M is given by tan (?) = 2 cot (ß) M2 sin2 (ß) – 1 M2(? + cos (2ß)) + 2 , (1) where ? = 1.4 is the ratio of specific heats. For a given M, as you keep increasing ?, there is a critical angle, ?max where the shock becomes detached. We can also recast Eq. (1) into the following form f(ß) = 2 cot (ß) M2 sin2 (ß) – 1 M2(? + cos (2ß)) + 2 – tan (?) . (2) Your tasks are the following: Analytical solution for ? = 0?

Part 1: Read chapters 1 and 2 from John Hick’s
Evil and the God of Love
and chapter 1 of Brian Davies’
The Reality of God and the Problem of Evil.
These chapters survey the ideas known as “the problem of evil” and “theodicy” each aimed at determining whether belief in a good God is possible in the face of the pain and suffering inherent in existence. It will orient you to the issues and give you a sense of the possible directions you could explore in your paper.
Part 2: In 500 words, provide an explanation of “the problem of evil” and “theodicy” according to the readings. This is a broad summary and should not attempt to summarize in detail everything you have read. This should include both a description in your own words as well as the use of relevant quotations from the chapters. I want to be confident that you can briefly and coherently identify the issue we will focus on for much of the second half of the course. Additionally, explain what issue concerning the problem of evil interests you the most. This should reflect something specific that you might like to focus on in your final paper.
NOTE: USE THE FILES I ATTACHED AS A REFERENCE!!

[ANSWERED] This term project will give you experience with…
This term project will give you experience with research in applied mathematics. Each individual student will submit a written report on a mathematical model in which you provide a detailed explanation of the model and its contribution to the field. Show that you understand the model motivation, background, equations, assumptions, results, limitations, and usefulness. Try your best to recreate at least some of the results. If you have trouble and cannot reproduce any of the results, you must at least provide a detailed interpretation of the results provided in the paper. Provide examples of how the model could be adapted to address the limitations.
Project report:
The project must contain the following sections:
1. Abstract: summary of the content of your paper
2. Introduction (~1 page): describe the background necessary to understand the project and outline of the goals of the paper
3. Methods Section and Results Section (about 3 pages): describe the model development, equations, assumptions, and predictions (including results you are able to reproduce or including results from the original paper cited properly)
4. Conclusion (about 1 pages): Interpret the model results in terms of the physical system. Describe what new insight has been obtained using the model. Discuss the accuracy of the model and what improvements could be made. Give your opinion of the model and provide suggestions for future work
