I actually work with a student whose native language is Spanish. His English is very understandable, but he often answers me in Spanish before correcting himself to English in the classroom. After talking with him, I realized his parents only speak Spanish and they will not allow his to speak English in the home. They fear he will loose his true identity if he abandons his native tongue. This has caused the student some difficulty when in the classroom or when he interacts with his English-speaking peers. However, he is such a joy to teach and his attitude is only that of respect when talking about his parents, even though they do not allow him to practice his English skills in the home. Comment as you see fit. Min 40 words or more.

In AWS, client-side encryption is the act of encrypting data before sending it to Amazon S3. To enable client-side encryption, you have the following options: (1) Use a customer master key (CMK) stored in AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS); (2) Use a master key that you store within your application. To protect your data privacy against the cloud, it is better to use your master key that you store within your application. However, if you lost your master key, you would be able to decrypt the encrypted data stored in Amazon S3.
Suppose that you decide to use Shamir’s secret sharing scheme for your master key recovery. Shamir’s Secret Sharing is an algorithm in cryptography introduced by Adi Shamir. It is a form of secret sharing, where a secret is divided into parts, giving each participant its own unique part. To reconstruct the original secret, a minimum number of parts is required.

In small groups explore the topic of when and how you might make a referral. Roleplay a referral, with one student playing the client and another playing the counselor. After a few minutes the “client” and the other students can give the “counselor” feedback on how he or she handled the situation. In small groups explore what you think the criteria should be for determining whether a therapist is competent. Prepare a list of specific criteria, and share it with the rest of the class. Are you able as a class to identify some common criteria for determining competence? Is it easier to determine incompetence?

[ANSWERED] Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common cancer in South As…
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common cancer in South Asians (SA) with ethnic origins from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or the diaspora (1) (2). South Asians have some of the lowest CRC screening rates (3). A review of 55 screening interventions tailored for minorities found group education improved screening success (4). Similarly, a culturally-tailored “navigator” intervention increased CRC screening rates in an ethnically diverse population (5). Health promotion delivered through faith-based organizations has also proven effective at disseminating health information when targeting minority groups for outreach (6). Innovative outreach and prevention messages specifically tailored for older-aged SAs may address gaps in existing health knowledge regarding CRC prevention.
